Good Morning Chocolate Wonders!

What do you do when you have to make an unexpected stop on your journey?

I am so used to dealing with curveballs and surprises involving my children. Changing course or taking a small detour, or even stopping for a moment or a season, has become a normal part of life. My husband and I have become flexible in that way by necessity.

How about you? Have you noticed that you are able to bob and weave with the expectation to bounce back and continue your journey?

If so, this is a great skill. It is a necessary skill. However, it's a skill that I didn't realize created a blind spot.

I am currently dealing with a few health issues that require more time, attention and prayer than I expected. I have to make an unexpected stop on my journey in order to pay attention to my health. This stop is unexpected and the elasticity I have learned to apply to my children is not transferring to me.

I am not taking this detour well. I am angry and sad and annoyed that I have to pull off the road after finally getting my car on the road safely to its correct destination.

The thing is, no matter how I feel about it, temporary change must happen. Unfortunately, that will affect this summer's newsletter issues.
I will be taking the summer off so that in late August I can come back stronger than ever and ready to share and serve up more health and well-being for us.

What kind of an example would I be if I didn't take the time to take care of myself as I encourage you to do? As much as I don't want to, I need to spend this summer taking care of myself. So I can continue to be able to develop this newsletter into the supportive community powerhouse I would like it to be.

I will be praying in the background for both you and your families to have an amazing summer.
I will be sending out my next issue and effectively relaunching the newsletter on September 1st.

My hope is that I have helped you all thus far and that you will be here when I return in September for the next evolution of this journey.

I look forward to seeing you all again then.
