Always Feeling Behind?

Good Morning Chocolate Wonders!

I am so happy to talk to you today. You are my people and I get joy from preparing something to encourage you each week. Thank you for opening this email and thank you for reading and coming back each week to see what's in store.

This month, no matter what I have done I felt like I was behind schedule. Even when I have accomplished something on the day I had it on the calendar, it has been little comfort to my overall picture. I realize I feel like that a lot. I am sure we all do. However, being the parent of a special needs child can tweak that feeling just a bit.

See, technically, I am behind...... in life. I should be farther along, and I would be, but my husband and I made a very conscious decision that one of us would be home with our children. I was happy to do it.

I don't regret my decision one bit. I see the fruit of it. Developmentally, and emotionally, they are better off. But that doesn't mean I am not left with this nagging feeling that I should be doing more and my advancement as a human should be happening faster.

Have you ever felt like that?
Not sorry or sad you made the sacrifice but maybe hoping there is a shortcut to the board you are on like in Super Mario Brothers. I love that game. You can go into a secret cave, get more points, and end your board early so you can advance...... if you know where the hidden caves are. This month especially, I wish I knew where those caves were. 😉😉

You Are The Only You That You’ve Go

For all of us parents who have sacrificed for our children and are feeling a little like we have been left behind, my prayer today is that God would show us the hidden cave or shortcut to catch up to the pack. I pray he would create opportunities for us specifically to catch up to where we need to be academically, professionally, and financially.

Sometimes we don't want or need to change our whole career. Maybe we just need a few extra dollars to put towards savings or that bigger home or even a vacation for the family. Below I found a resource that may be useful to you. Take a minute and watch the video. It's about a part-time, low-stress opportunity you may want to look into. Please let me know if it is helpful.
